Swim Sage
Swim Sage shows no swims
Swim Sage reads the pool and open-water swims your Apple Watch records in Apple Health. Check it may read them: in the Health app, tap your profile, then Apps, then Swim Sage, and turn on the categories. Then tap Try again on Today. You can look round with made-up swims first: tap Try with sample swims.
A swim has the wrong pool length, or a length looks wrong
Open the swim and tap Edit. You can set the pool length, trim the start or end, fix a slow first length, and merge or split lengths. Swim Sage keeps your corrections on top of what Health recorded and never changes Health. The Check list on Swims suggests fixes it thinks are likely.
How do targets work?
A target is what you want a swim to be: one condition (at least 1,800 m), several that must all hold, or a quantity within a time (70 lengths within 40 minutes). Set one on Targets, and every swim from then on is judged against it. Earlier swims can be filled in from the round numbers you were already swimming, or from your usual time.
Syncing my iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision Pro
Open Settings, then Sync with nearby device, on both, near each other. On one, tap Pair a device and Show a code; on the other, choose it and type the code. Both then show the same six-digit number: if they match, tap They Match on both. After that, tap Sync now whenever you want your corrections, targets and challenges brought across. Your swims are not synced: each device reads its own from Health.
The numbers didn't match when pairing
Tap They Don't Match on both. Something else on your network answered instead of your device. Pair again with both devices in front of you, ideally on your own Wi-Fi.
Challenging a friend
On Targets, Challenges, tap New Challenge and send it through Messages. Your friend needs Swim Sage to accept it. You choose which figures are sent; nothing is sent automatically.
The Watch app
Swim Sage on Apple Watch comes with the iPhone app. Before you swim, choose a target; while you swim it gives quiet cues as you get ahead, fall behind or reach it. The swim is saved to Apple Health like any Watch workout.
Race in 3D on Apple Vision Pro
Open a swim's Swim Timeline and tap Race in 3D. The race becomes a pool on the table in front of you: you, your target's pace, and your best and slowest recent swims, lane by lane, with the player beneath it. Your swims reach the headset through Apple's own iCloud Health sync.
Deleting my data
Settings, then Data & Privacy, then Delete Swim Sage Data deletes your corrections, targets, pools and challenges on that device. Apple Health is not touched. Deleting the app does the same.
